Aluminum Processing Chemicals
Commonly employed chemistries used in the aluminum processing industry including cleaners, etchants, deoxidizers, and passivating products.

ETCHANTS
BROCO 5700W	Powdered alkaline etchant with some detergency. Formulated to provide a uniform and consistent etch with minimum scale buildup on tank walls and heating elements. Provides a controlled foam blanket to reduce mist and vapors.
BROCO 50-L-3	OCO 50-L-3 Liquid version of BROCO 5700W to provide ease in handling and control.
BROCO 51 & BROCO 533	Liquid acid cleaner/etchants developed to provide a less aggressive etch pattern when compared to alkaline processes (and therefore a more uniform nish). Excellent choice where surface cleaning and etching preparation are to be done in a single step. Often used prior to spot welding applications. Solutions are easily rinsed.
BROCO TSA	Liquid concentrate similar to BROCO 51 & 533, but will also provide desmutting and deoxidizing features for a ‘whiter’ metal finish.

DEOXIDIZERS
BROCO 893M	Liquid non-chromated desmutting/deoxidizing concentrate. Suitable for a wide range of aluminum alloys. Developed as a safer alternative to concentrated nitric baths.
BROCO DEOX 4	Powder chromic acid based deoxidizer/desmutter. Developed to address the most diffcult surface conditions and provide a uniform, bright aluminum surface. Extremely stable even under conditions of severe metals and soils loading.

CHROMATE CONVERSION COATINGS
BROCO 269	Liquid chromate conversion coating. Produces yellow to deep golden toned finishes on aluminum surfaces for corrosion protection. Prepares aluminum surfaces for subsequent paint/powder coat application.
BROCO ACR	Powder version of BROCO 269.

ZINCATE COATINGS
BROCO ZINCATE 16	Liquid alkaline non-cyanide zincate solution for preparation of aluminum surfaces prior to electroless or electrolytic plating processes. Economical ultra-concentrate formulated to be diluted with water.
BROCO ZINCATE 17	Second generation of BroCo zincate that has a tri-metal composition with superior adhesion.

Corrosion Inhibitors / Rust Preventatives
Petroleum and non-petroleum based products that produce surface coatings that vary in corrosion inhibition, visibility, and lubricity. Often, materials are used in conjunction with other surface treatments (such as phosphates) to enhance function qualities.

BroCo MW8021	X				Designed to perform at low concentrations for all metals (including cast iron, stainless, and nonferrous) grinding applications. Light to medium duty. Manganesed Phospholene #7 Rust Removal/ Metal Condition	An easily applied, ready-to-use, stable liquid which dissolves rust, corrosion and scale stain from steel, copper, stainless steel, chrome, aluminum, brass, marble, magnesium, porcelain, concrete, granite and other materials. Cleans metal and other substances. Combines chemically with metal, leaving a smooth phosphate coating ready to accept paint or other coatings. Meets military specifications. Available in 1 Gal. Phospholene #20 Rust Inhibitor	A water soluble, non-oily, paintable, non-dimensional, indoor storage ferrous rust inhibitor for use after pickling, heat treat clean-up, stripping, rebuilding, sand blasting and degreasing. Phospholene P23G Corrosion Inhibitor	A water soluble, non-oily corrosion inhibitor, excellent indoor protection on steel, copper, brass, aluminum and plated parts that have unplated surfaces, such as tubes. Available in 1 Gal. Bottles & Drums
Phospholube Quickdraw Deep Drawing & Stamping Compound	A water reducible, biodegradable, deep drawing (such as washer and dryer parts) and stamping lubricant designed to provide easy drawing and stamping without the problems of waste disposal or accidental spills from petroleum-based lubricants. Can be diluted with water; for drawing, the greater the severity of the draw, the more concentrated the solution (3:1 for normal use). For stamping, greater dilution (5:1 ) is recommended.
